Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What types of topiary sculptures does Topiary 4U offer?
A: We handcraft a wide range of topiary sculptures including animals, birds, aquatic life, human figures, custom objects, and large-scale commercial and event displays. Every wire frame is handwoven on a secure metal base, built in sections for easy shipping and assembly, and designed to be filled with either live plants or preserved moss.
Q2. Can I order a completely custom design that isn't in your shop?
A: Absolutely — custom work is the heart of what we do. Share your idea through our Request a Custom Quote form and our artisans will engineer a frame to match your exact vision, whether it’s a beloved family pet, a logo-shaped hedge sculpture, or a full-scale event centerpiece. No concept is too unique.
Q3. What is the difference between a moss topiary and a live plant topiary?
A: A live plant topiary uses the frame as a growing structure — you plant it with ground cover, ivy, succulents, or other climbing plants and watch it fill in over time. A moss topiary is finished with preserved natural moss, giving you an immediately lush, display-ready sculpture that requires no watering or ongoing plant care.
Q4. How long does it take to complete a custom order?
A: Production time depends on complexity, size, and quantity. Standard custom orders typically take 4–8 weeks. Highly intricate designs or large commercial quantities may require additional lead time. Please include your target installation or event date in your quote request so we can confirm availability upfront.
Q5. What sizes are available?
A: We create frames from small tabletop accent pieces under 2 feet tall to large-scale commercial installations exceeding 6 feet. Every dimension can be tailored to your space. Simply include your available area measurements in the quote form and we’ll recommend the ideal sizing.
Q6. Can Topiary 4U sculptures be displayed indoors?
A: Yes. Many of our frames and moss topiaries work beautifully in interior spaces such as hotel lobbies, retail environments, event venues, restaurants, and private living rooms. Live plant topiaries placed indoors will need access to adequate natural or grow lighting. Note your intended setting in the quote form so we can recommend the right materials.
Q7. How do the frames ship, and is assembly difficult?
A: Our frames are specifically engineered in sections to lower shipping costs and simplify setup. Each section arrives securely packed and connects easily — no special tools required. Detailed stepby-step assembly instructions are included with every order, and our team is always available to help if questions come up.
Q8. Do you work with hotels, event planners, and commercial clients?
A: Commercial and large-scale event work is one of our specialties. We’ve produced custom topiary displays for hotels, resorts, restaurants, theme parks, corporate campuses, weddings, and seasonal events. Bulk pricing and dedicated project support are available for large or recurring orders. Submit a quote request to get the conversation started.
Q9. How do I care for my topiary once it arrives?
A: Moss topiaries need very little maintenance — occasional light misting in dry climates and keeping them away from harsh direct sunlight will preserve their color and texture for years. Live plant topiaries should be watered based on the species used, trimmed as growth fills the frame, and fertilized each season. Tailored care instructions are included with every order.
Q10. How much does a custom topiary sculpture cost?
A: Pricing varies by size, complexity, material type, and quantity. Small accent pieces start at very accessible price points, while large commercial installations are individually scoped and quoted. We pride ourselves on competitive pricing for genuinely handcrafted, USA-made work. Submit a quote request with your project details and we’ll provide a clear, itemized estimate with no obligation.
